So, what’s included in the price you pay for Hamish House, with no additional charges?
Hamish House has 2 separate deposits in operation.
1. A non-refundable deposit of 10% of your holiday cost to be paid at time of booking. ( E.g. If you book a week in High Season then the deposit is £69.50, if you book 2 weeks in High Season the deposit would be £139.00 and so on.)
2. A Fully refundable Good Housekeeping/Security Deposit of £150 must be paid with remaining balance. (please note this will be refunded in full after your departure when Housekeeping staff have established that there is nothing major broken or damaged. This is to cover any major repairs or for replacements that may be required. Please don’t worry about the odd broken plate/glass/cup etc, Hamish House realise small accidents can and do happen.
Hamish House recommend guests take out travel insurance, being an island , Lewis can be affected by adverse weather conditions. for this reason ferries can be cancelled last minute. This could leave guests stranded on the mainland or on the island without accommodation. Ensure your policy covers such circumstances, as Hamish House are within their rights to retain all costs paid. Guests would seek their recompense from their travel insurance policy. However, We would try our very best to arrange alternative dates that are suitable for both parties.
Please get in touch if you need clarification with this matter.
